Snake. 6.17.17
I'm guessing this is a garter snake, and feeds off moles and voles, bugs, slugs, and snails. We saw 4 snakes today while planting beans. They are not particularly afraid of us.
As far as I know, these are nonpoisonous garter snakes. I believe them to be beneficial and not harmful or poisonous. Never approach or handle a snake that you don't know is not poisonous.
Did you tell your ducks to watch out for snake?
ReplyDeleteMaybe the ducks will eat the snakes!
