One batch has turned to slime in their plastic bag.

For me this is an attempt to maybe get production a year sooner, by growing them through the winter indoors. I like to just toss and forget. 90 days seems a very longtime for me. They do make wonder trees that bares good fruits. Grow from seeds' better for me since I yet have a good graft on peaches. lancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03657961543274999017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29834831.post-63524850715663766522015-10-08T06:26:12.903-07:002015-10-08T06:26:12.903-07:00A few more sprouted. That may take a week, I don't know. , I'm impatient.

I put the peach seeds back in the refrigerator, having read they need 90 days stratification. Except one package, which had one sprouting seed. I don't know what to make of that. It's in seed starting medium now too.Daniel Wachenheimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11009166706587141830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29834831.post-5441594052557160762015-10-08T06:24:27.170-07:002015-10-08T06:24:27.170-07:00I would love to hear how your quinces do.I would love to hear how your quinces do.Daniel Wachenheimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11009166706587141830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29834831.post-46606829998320403422015-10-08T05:35:19.456-07:002015-10-08T05:35:19.456-07:00I saved my apricot seeds, but haven't done any...I saved my apricot seeds, but haven't done anything with them yet. I stratified and then planted the seeds from a quince last winter and they germinated and grew rapidly but then got a finicky once they had developed a few leaves, and after a few weeks I only had two left. They are still alive now and have found a spot in the garden but grew so slowly over the summer that I have my doubts that they will survive the winter.Nichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07291223943168030684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29834831.post-90086113282477115842015-10-07T00:42:47.943-07:002015-10-07T00:42:47.943-07:00My great-grandkids and I planted several prune see...My great-grandkids and I planted several prune seeds this summer and hope they will grow. We just put them in holes at the end of the terraces in the garden. Your photos offer ideas for how to start them. We will do some experimenting next spring and summer.
